Enterprise Surveysは企業レベルの国際的なアンケート調査。各国のビジネス環境、その変化、ビジネス活動に対する制約等に関する企業へのアンケート調査のデータが提供されている。データ形式はstata。なお、ダウンロードにあたっては登録が必要。一般に提供されている、ミクロ企業レベルデータとしては最大か？　

iMac 27インチ購入

ようやく注文していたiMac27インチが到着！最初に見てその大きなディスプレイに圧倒される。初日は慣れないせいか、目が疲れる。２日目からは慣れ、初日の感動も若干薄れ気味。それでも、ワクワク感がつのるPCである。マジックマウスもこれからのマウスの定番になりそう。ディスプレイは本当にきれい。iTunesでニュースを見ていると、まるでテレビ。

エリノア・オストロムとコミュニティ

オストロムが経済学賞を受賞したことは、とりわけ、経済学者の間で以外に受け止められている。これは当然かもしれない。彼女の研究の多くは市場だけが資源を効率的に配分するという経済学者の合意に異議を唱えるものがおおいからである。もっとも、研究対象が社会的ジレンマの状況を生み出す共有資源の管理ということにも起因するであろうが。多くの紹介記事は、オストロムの研究は共有資源の統治、ガバナンスの研究にあるとしている。彼女の共有資源の管理に研究において特筆する点は、管理の効率性が市場でも政府でもなく、この両者に加え、コミュニティが補完的役割を果たしたときに、もっとも効果的だというものであろう。「統治とは、もはや、他の諸個人が中央政府において行う行動ではない。統治とは、公営住宅の所有者や地方や都会の小規模のコミュニティの市民が学ぶものなのである。」（『平等主義の政治経済学』p.143）

平たく言ってみれば、政府の手助けだけでもだめだだし、個人の自助努力だけでもだめ。コミュニティのみんなで協力してがんばりましょう、ということ。しかも、そうした協力が自生的に発生し、社会的レジンマ状況が解決されているケースが各国に多くありますよ、といこと。

My Life in Ruins

ギリシャ系女優ニル・ヴァルダロス主演のラブコメディ。ツアコンダクター役のニル、お相手のバス運転手、ギリシャ旅行ツアーに参加した奇妙な旅行客が、ギリシャの観光地をまわりながら、心を通わせて行くという王道的なラブコメディ。じいちゃん役のRichard Dreyfussがいい味を出している。

『平成経済20年史』

１年程まえに出版されたものだが、紺谷典子著『平成経済20年史』を読み終える。外資（アメリカ）ー大蔵省（財務省）ー財界・改革派の結託という構図はキワモノぽく、度をすぎるとトンでも本の仲間入りをしそうだが、ここ20年の改革に対しては一刀両断で、ともて分かりやすい（また、そこがキワものの臭いを醸し出すのだが…）。「改革」とは名ばかりで結果的には「財政の緊縮」＋民営化という結果に終わったという評価は確かにそうであろう。それにしても、「平成」が経済史になるとは…もう20年も過ぎ、経済史の対象になるのか、と個人的にはポイントはずれの点に感心。
